Vasco will be without Andrés Gómez for the Brazilian league trip to Coritiba at Couto Pereira on one April after he collected his third yellow card against Grêmio, triggering a suspension. It will be his first absence of 2026.

According to Globo.com, Vasco made his move permanent at the start of the year by exercising a loan option to buy from Rennes. The club paid a little over 4.5 million euros, around R$ 30 million, for 60% of his economic rights.

Gómez is the only Vasco player to have featured in every game this year, with 17 appearances and 16 starts. He has one goal and three assists to date.

The club had already been wary of his unbroken sequence, with 1501 minutes logged in 2026. He will have little respite during the international break after being called up by Colombia for friendlies.

It is his second straight selection under Néstor Lorenzo. He did not play in the last window, but on current form the expectation is that he could be used and assessed this time.
