Angelino: “Roma is my only focus.” | OneFootball

Roma’s Spanish full-back, Angeliño, gave an interview to Radio Manà Manà Sport directly from the English training camp in Burton-upon-Trent, where the Giallorossi are currently completing the second half of their summer preparations.

When asked about the links with Al Hilal, Angelino said, “Roma was always my only focus, my family and I are happy here. Roma was the only option I considered this summer.”

“I’ve felt comfortable since day one. We’re happy in Rome, maybe we’ll stay and live here after football. We’re trying to work every day to prove we can be here.”

“Last year we started badly, but when Ranieri arrived everything changed.”

“We have a new coach, with a lot of experience. We’ve been working with him for four weeks, and the team is working hard, following his ideas. We need to continue like this and be ready.”

“We’re working hard, we’re pushing every day. The team has to get used to the new way of playing. Our legs aren’t 100%, but there’s work to be done. When the season starts, I think we’ll be more than ready.”

“Dybala’s absence? When he’s on the pitch, I participate more. He sees things that others don’t. His foot always finds you. I feel better when he’s on the pitch. He makes me play better.”

“There are people with great personalities in the locker room who help their teammates. There are people like Mancini, Dybala, Pellegrini. I try to do my part; if I can lend a hand, I’ll do it.”
