Angers surge past Nantes to climb to ninth | OneFootball

Angers beat Nantes 4-1 at Stade Raymond Kopa to rise from 11th to ninth in Ligue 1.

In the 17th minute Himad Abdelli converted from the spot after VAR confirmed the penalty for a Tylel Tati handball. After the restart, Sidiki Cherif finished a fast break from Louis Mouton's pass (60.).

Fabien Centonze halved the deficit with a thumping strike from a tight angle (81.), teed up by Mayckel Lahdo. Substitute Djibirin Harouna quickly restored the cushion with a left-footed finish (85.), the goal standing after a VAR review. Lilian Raolisoa added a late fourth in the fourth minute of second half stoppage time.

Angers registered 20 attempts, nine on target, and saw 54.8% of the ball. Les Canaris produced seven attempts, four on target.
