Flick’s men celebrate vital win, yet defensive frailty and fresh injury woes cloud Barcelona’s La Liga charge

Another win, another worry — Barcelona’s defense sounds the alarm again
Barcelona claimed crucial 4-2 victory over Celta Vigo on Sunday night at Balaidos but the win did little to silence growing concerns around Hansi Flick’s struggling defense — which has now failed to keep clean sheet in 10 consecutive match, the club’s worst run in over decade.
Minutes before kickoff, Marc Casado was forced to withdraw from the starting lineup after feeling sharp pain in his adductor muscle during the warm-up.
Barcelona confirmed via their official X account that Casado would undergo further medical tests to determine the extent of the injury. He was replaced in the XI by Dani Olmo forcing Flick into late reshuffle in midfield.
"We’re paying the price for injuries to key players" Flick admitted post-match. "But the season is long and we’ll keep fighting until May"
The coach added that Jules Kounde remains doubtful after failing to complete training while Eric Garcia is available to play with protective mask.
Despite the four goal scored in Vigo, Barcelona’s defensive record continues to trouble Flick. The team has now conceded in 10 straight match across all competitions, a negative streak unseen since 2013 when Tito Vilanova’s side went 13 match without clean sheet.
