Forward Jaidon Anthony believes he can take his game to another level with Brentford.

The 26-year-old, who signed for the Bees from Burnley in early July, bagged eight goals and four assists for the Clarets last term.

While that represented his best return in a single Premier League season, Anthony is aiming to improve again ahead of the upcoming campaign, his first in TW8.

"Personally, I had a really good season in terms of numbers and it’s one that I can be proud of, but I also felt that I could’ve done more," he reflected on 2025/26.

"As a player, I’m always trying to improve every year. For the most part, I’ve managed to do that.

“Coming here was a step up, playing with some incredible players. I’m really looking forward to this season, playing with such quality players helps me and I’m sure I can keep on improving and hopefully do a lot better than even last year.

"This is probably the most confident I’ve ever been in myself."

With Anthony's move from Lancashire to west London being confirmed in early July, the winger has been able to hit the ground running during pre-season.

He scored in a behind-closed-doors friendly against AFC Wimbledon before joining his new team-mates for a training camp in Portugal.

"I really enjoyed the game and I'm looking forward to the ones to come," he continued.

"It’s always nice to score and I was happy with the finish. It won’t go down in the records but it’s nice to start pre-season in that manner. Hopefully, I can carry that into the season.

"Pre-season is always tough and a lot of hard work goes into it. The way the team wants to play and what the manager asks from the team is a bit different to what I’ve played in before, but I’m enjoying it.

"It’s been a good balance. You hear horror stories of the running sessions; luckily, I haven’t had too much of that so far, although I don’t want to speak too soon!"

The training camp in Portugal, as well as the preparations that have taken place at Jersey Road both beforehand and since the Bees arrived back in the UK, have also enabled Anthony to build relationships with his team-mates.

“The more you train together, you start to understand what your team-mates do and what they like to do. You can build relationships from there," he added.

"It's also off the pitch, communicating things about how you like to play and vice versa. For a player in my position, it’s a perfect team to play in because we want to be on the front foot and create a load of chances, so I’m really excited about it.

"I feel like I’ll be a good addition to an amazing squad."
