Algeria has been placed in Group J of the 2026 World Cup alongside reigning champions Argentina. Following the draw ceremony, the Argentine coach was full of praise for the Fennecs.

Algeria will be Argentina’s main rival in Group J at the 2026 World Cup. The Fennecs have already earned compliments from Lionel Scaloni. The Albiceleste manager highlighted the strength of Algeria’s talent pool.

"I know Algeria’s coach Vladimir Petkovic, I was with him at Lazio and he’s a great manager. Algeria is a very good team with outstanding players and an impressive pool of talent that supplies France and other countries," praised the Argentine tactician.
