21-year-old defender Palacios completed his move to Inter just before the start of the international break.

The Argentine signed for the Nerazzurri on the final day of the summer transfer window.

Palacios arrived after a transfer saga that had lasted a few weeks when all was said and done.

Inter had identified the young Argentine as their big defensive reinforcement for the summer window.

Palacios checked the two major boxes the Nerazzurri were looking for. He has the attributes to be a suitable backup to Alessandro Bastoni, and is young enough that he can be expected to grow and improve in the coming years.

Inter New Boy Tomas Palacios Working To Rapidly Regain Top Condition In Training

Inter signed Palacios after working out a complex agreement with two Argentine clubs.

The 21-year-old had been on loan at Independiente Rivadivia from Talleres. Therefore, those two clubs along with Inter had to work out an agreement to terminate the loan.

In the end, all worked out. Inter agreed a deal with Rivadivia and Talleres, and the two Argentine clubs found an agreement among themselves.

But a consequence of all this is that Palacios has not played football for a little while.

Therefore, it is natural that the young defender has lost a bit of match-sharpness.

Palacios had been in his home country Argentine for the first week of the international break.

The 21-year-old still needed to work out a few remaining bureaucratic details and documents.

But over the weekend, Palacios returned to Italy.

Now, the Argentine is training with his new teammates in the Inter squad.

Palacios has a golden opportunity to start adjusting and getting up to his new team tactically.

But just as important will be the physical preparations. Palacios will certainly want to be ready for the pace of Serie A football.

Therefore, the Corriere reports, the 21-year-old is training with extra intensity.
