Tolu Arokodare has been left out of Wolves’ pre-season training camp in Portugal as clubs move for his signature. According to ExpressAndStar.com, the striker is drawing interest across Europe, with Fiorentina the latest to have a bid rejected.

The Italian club proposed a loan that was turned down because the fee was too low, and they would need to raise it significantly to strike a deal. Talks are ongoing and Arokodare stayed at home while the rest of the squad travelled on Monday for a week-long camp.

Wolves are open to offers, with a loan currently the most likely outcome. Trabzonspor saw a loan bid rejected last week and remain keen, though it is understood Arokodare prefers Italy over Türkiye.

Negotiations continue with several continental clubs, and Fiorentina are expected to return with an improved offer.

The Nigerian international joined last summer in a deal worth up to £24 million, scoring three Premier League goals and six in all competitions from 38 games as Wolves were relegated.

He reported back to Compton last week, and former head coach Rob Edwards was keen to move him on after a dressing room bust-up with team-mate Mateus Mane following the 4-0 defeat to West Ham, in which Arokodare was the sole aggressor. Under new boss Cesar Peixoto, he is now set to play no further part next season.
