Arrascaeta urges changes after Flamengo lose Recopa first leg to Lanús | OneFootball

Flamengo left themselves in a difficult position in the Recopa Sudamericana after a 1-0 first-leg defeat to Lanús in Argentina.

"We have to change a lot for the second leg, today nothing worked, but it is time to work and give a response at home. We came to win, unfortunately we did not get the result. We must admit they were better than us in many aspects, keep our humility for the return game and turn it around," he told ESPN.

Because of the 1-0 scoreline in Argentina, Lanús can draw at the Maracanã and lift the Recopa. A simple Flamengo win would take the tie to penalties.

To clinch the trophy without a shootout, Flamengo must win the return by at least two goals. The second leg is on Thursday, 26, at 21:30 Brasília time at the Maracanã, with Arrascaeta available.

Before then, Flamengo face Madureira on Sunday, 22, in the first leg of the Campeonato Carioca semi-final, kick-off 20:30 Brasília time.
