In a recent report, Fichajes mentioned that Arsenal are among the clubs hoping to land Chelsea star Enzo Fernandez. It is understood that the Gunners would have to compete with Manchester City and Real Madrid in the race to land the Argentine talent this off-season.

Fernandez’s Impressive Form In English Football

Fernandez has enjoyed a decent run of form at the West London club after he put in a string of impressive displays for them at the centre of the park. The 25-year-old has scored 13 times and picked up six assists in 50 matches for Chelsea this season across all fronts.

The Argentine sensation is currently one of the best central midfielders in the Premier League. Hence, it is no surprise that Arsenal are in the running to land him this off-season.

His current contract at the London club will run out in the summer of 2032, which could make it tough for the Gunners to sign him on the cheap later this year.

Will Fernandez Be A Dream Option For Arsenal Boss Mikel Arteta?

Fernandez doesn’t mind putting in a tireless shift for his team defensively when needed. He can shoot the ball with venom from long range and has got the vision to engineer some decent chances for his teammates in the final third.

The Argentine sensation is a good dribbler with the ball and can contribute by scoring and his fair share of goals from midfield. Fernandez is primarily a box-to-box midfielder but can also function as a defensive midfielder or play in the number ten position if needed. He is already quite familiar with the Premier League and won’t take much time to adjust to life in the Premier League if the Gunners manage to snap him up this summer.

We can expect Fernandez to bring more energy and dynamism to Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta’s midfield department. He is good enough to challenge for a regular first-team spot at the North London club in the coming seasons.

At 25, Fernandez has his best years ahead of him, which makes him a dream option for the Gunners to consider at the end of this campaign. He might even help Arsenal compete for some major trophies over the next few years.
