In a recent report, journalist Graeme Bailey claimed that Arsenal are facing stiff competition for Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola in this summer transfer period. It is understood that the Gunners would have to rival Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea in the race to land the French speedster this off-season.
Barcola managed to shine at times with his performances on the left side of PSG’s attack in the previous campaign. The 23-year-old found the back of the net 13 times and secured seven assists in 49 matches for the French outfit last season in all competitions.
The French sensation is currently one of the best wide players in Ligue 1. Thus, it is no surprise that the Gunners are eyeing a move to acquire his services this off-season.
His current contract at PSG will expire in the summer of 2028, which could make it tough for Arsenal to sign him on a cut-price deal in this transfer period.

Barcola has got the pace to cause a lot of problems for his marker out in the wide positions. He is a decent dribbler with the ball at his feet and has got the vision to engineer a few inviting chances for his teammates to score.
The French talent can shoot the ball with power from long range and can contribute by scoring his fair share of goals from the flanks. Barcola is primarily a left-winger but can also function as a right-sided wide player or play in the number ten position if told to do so. However, there are some concerns over whether he can cope with the physical demands and high intensity of the Premier League if the Gunners manage to snap him up later this year.
We can expect Barcola to add more quality and depth to Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta’s attack. He is more than capable of challenging for a regular first-team spot at the Emirates Stadium next season.
At 23, Barcola has got his best years ahead of him, which makes him a dream option for the North London club to consider this summer. He will also help Arsenal compete for some major honours over the next decade. All in all, he would be well worth the fight, so the Gunners would be wise to win the race for his services soon.
