Arsenal beating PSG and Chelsea in race for Riccardo Calafiori | OneFootball

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Arsenal are leading the race to secure Riccardo Calafiori’s (22) signature. The centre-back has become one of the hottest prospects on the market after an impressive season with Bologna and attention-grabbing appearances with the Italian national team during the Euros.

Arsenal are thought to be close to securing a deal for Calafiori after Mikel Arteta’s team presented an intriguing project for the player and an impressive offer to the club. Despite this, the London side are not alone in their interest in the defender and still face some competition, although it’s suspected that negotiations will be complete this week.

Paris Saint-Germain are in the market for a centre-back and are thought to be interested in Calafiori, as are Chelsea and Bayer Leverkusen. However, these other clubs will have to act fast and decisively if they have any hope of stealing Calafiori from The Gunners’ grasp.
