For all the talk of Arsenal depending too much on set pieces, they have had no problem racking up the goals in 2024.
So much so that they have broken a record that has been intact since 1892, and is seemingly the longest-standing record in English football history.
When the Gunners thrashed Crystal Palace 5-1 at Selhurst Park on Saturday, it was the sixth such time they have scored five or more goals in an away win in this calendar year.
No other English team has managed to achieve that feat, putting history makers Arsenal in a league of their own.
Sunderland first set the record 132 years ago and it was matched by Manchester City in 1937, but no one else could match them until now.
The only major record in the top four divisions from the 19th century that still stands is the biggest margin for an away win, which was set by Sheffield United when they beat Port Vale 10-0 in… December 1892.
