Arsenal confirm ongoing negotiations with loanee Kelly | OneFootball

Arsenal have confirmed that negotiations are ongoing with on loan Manchester City forward Chloe Kelly.

The Gunners provided a brief update via a post on their official club website this afternoon.

Kelly joined Arsenal on loan from Manchester City back in January following a difficult spell with her parent club. Since moving to North London, Kelly has re-found her love for the game, performing well in an Arsenal shirt and forcing her way into the running for a place in the England squad for this summer’s UEFA Women’s EURO.

The forward has made 13 appearances for The Gunners in all competitions in which she has scored two goals. Kelly played her part in Arsenal’s UEFA Women’s Champions League final victory over FC Barcelona in Lisbon last month.

Kelly’s loan has seen her enjoy her second spell as an Arsenal player. The forward previously turned out for The Gunners at first team level between 2015 and 2018.

Manchester City and Kelly will go their separate ways this summer with the player being out of contract at The Joie Stadium and Arsenal have confirmed that talks are ongoing with the forward and her representatives regarding longer-term arrangements.
