Arsenal could still sign four attacking players before the closure of the summer transfer window.

Mikel Arteta’s side have been active in the transfer market with four signings imminent. Kepa Arrizabalaga’s transfer from Chelsea was completed on Tuesday, while deals have been agreed for Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi and Brentford captain Christian Norgaard. Negotiations are also ongoing for Valencia defender Cristhian Mosquera.

Arsenal’s biggest priority heading into the summer was attacking reinforcements, but movement has been limited on those deals to date.

RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko is the frontrunner to join as the club’s new centre-forward with talks underway with the German side.

Arsenal are also interested in signing a left-winger with a move for Rodrygo, of Real Madrid, to be explored. The Gunners will accelerate talks once Real Madrid’s campaign at the FIFA Club World Cup is concluded.

Interest in Crystal Palace midfielder Eberechi Eze and Chelsea winger Noni Madueke is inter-dependent of the signing of a left-winger, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.

Eze, who has a £68m release clause, is viewed as an option to increase creativity in central areas of the pitch. His ability to play from the left is an added appeal, but the 26-year-old is not a left-wing target. Arsenal want to bring in both a left-winger and attacking midfielder, while a move for a right-sided forward has not been ruled out.

The North Londoners were linked with Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo earlier in the summer and are assessing a move for Chelsea’s Madueke. The latter would add competition and cover for Bukayo Saka but is likely to want assurances over his minutes with the World Cup looming next summer.
