Arsenal’s transfer activity may not be finished, despite a summer spend just shy of €300 million. According to Goal, the club have made contact with the representatives of Juventus forward Kenan Yildiz, but any deal will come at a steep price.
Reports in Italy suggest Juventus have placed a valuation of €80m to €100m on the 20-year-old, who has become one of Europe’s brightest young prospects. The Turin club are under no pressure to sell and instead want to secure Yildiz to an improved deal, even though his current contract runs until 2029.

Yildiz enjoyed a breakout season last year, registering 12 goals and nine assists for Juventus. His ability to operate as a forward, attacking midfielder or wide player has made him an invaluable part of their squad. This campaign has only enhanced his reputation, with two goals and four assists already from five appearances.
Juventus view him as a cornerstone of their future and are expected to resist all advances. However, Arsenal’s interest indicates their ambition to continue strengthening Mikel Arteta’s options in attack.

For Arsenal, the question is whether they would be willing to commit such an outlay for a player still developing. Juventus are unlikely to sanction a sale unless an extraordinary offer arrives, and competition from across Europe will only drive up demand.
Still, Arsenal’s contact with the player’s entourage shows they are closely monitoring the situation, even if a transfer appears improbable at this stage.
€100m for Kenan Yildiz? He may be talented, but Arsenal have already spent heavily this summer. Supporters will question whether this is really the priority.
The squad still needs depth in certain positions, particularly central midfield and defence, and splashing out a fortune on another forward might not make sense. There is also the issue of financial fair play. After spending close to €300m already, can Arsenal realistically afford this without sales?
Fans also remember similar rumours in the past. Big names linked, fees discussed, but little concrete action. Juventus clearly do not want to sell, so this feels more like speculation than a genuine pursuit. Yildiz may go on to become a world-class player, but Arsenal must be careful not to chase every emerging star at inflated prices.
For many supporters, the focus should be on making the current squad competitive enough to sustain a Premier League title challenge and progress deep in the Champions League. Investing wisely, rather than making another marquee statement, may be the smarter path.
