In a recent report, The Sun revealed that Arsenal have set their sights on Nottingham Forest talent Morgan Gibbs-White this summer. It has been claimed that the Gunners would have to compete with Paris Saint-Germain in pursuit of the English playmaker this off-season.

Gibbs-White’s Impressive Form In English Football

Gibbs-White managed to prove his worth for Nottingham in the Premier League last season when he put in a string of impressive displays for them in the final third. The 26-year-old banged in 18 goals and grabbed seven assists in 53 matches for his current employers in the previous campaign in multiple competitions.

The Stafford-born talent is currently among the best attacking midfielders in the Premier League. Hence, the Gunners would do well to get a deal done for him in this summer transfer window.

His current contract at the City Ground will run out in the summer of 2028. Thus, Arsenal would have to make a convincing offer if they are serious about winning the race for him later this year.

What Will Gibbs-White Bring To Arsenal?

Gibbs-White can engineer a yard of space for himself to get some strikes in at goal. He can shoot the ball with venom from long range and has also got the vision to create a few inviting chances for his teammates in and around the opponent’s penalty area.

The English sensation is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet. Gibbs-White is primarily an attacking midfielder but can also serve as a box-to-box midfielder or as a right-winger if told to do so by his manager. He has proven his worth as a reliable performer in the Premier League and won’t take much time to adjust to life at the North London club.

We can expect Gibbs-White to bring more energy and dynamism to Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta’s attack. He is capable of fighting for a regular first-team spot at the Emirates Stadium in the coming years.

At 26, Gibbs-White will only get better with each season. He is good enough to help the Gunners compete for some major trophies in the future. Thus, Arteta should focus on going all out to win the race for him before the end of this transfer window.
