Arsenal hijack Tottenham move for Eberechi Eze in double quick time

Arsenal have successfully hijacked Tottenham’s pursuit of Eberechi Eze in a matter of hours, despite Spurs having spent weeks working towards the same stage of negotiations. For much of the summer, it appeared that the England international was destined for a move to Tottenham, but the moment Arsenal displayed serious intent, the dynamics of the transfer changed dramatically.

Eze has been seeking a move away from Crystal Palace, and the prospect of Champions League football proved to be a decisive factor.
