Arsenal have joined the race for West Ham United attacking midfielder Crysencio Summerville following his World Cup masterclass, according to French outlet Foot Mercato.
Summerville had an impressive World Cup debut against Japan last week, scoring one goal to help the Netherlands secure a 2-2 draw.
West Ham wanted €50 million for the winger, but his transfer market value has skyrocketed in recent days.
However, Arsenal will face competition from Paris Saint-Germain, Aston Villa, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United.
The Gunners want attacking firepower as they look to defend the Premier League title and go one better in the Champions League.
Summerville has the quality the Gunners need, but he may prefer to join a club where he is guaranteed regular playing time.
He is expected to leave West Ham following their relegation to the Championship, and remaining in the English top-flight will appeal to him.
However, he could struggle to break into Arsenal’s starting XI given the strength of their squad.
The Netherlands face Sweden later today before taking on Tunisia on Friday, and Arsenal will be watching the Hammers star.
