The Gunners are celebrating their first top-flight success for 22 years following Manchester City drawing a must-win game against in-form Bournemouth 1-1 at the Vitality Stadium on Tuesday night.

That result coupled with Arsenal’s nervy 1-0 win over relegated Burnley on Monday night means that Mikel Arteta’s side now boast an unassailable four-point lead at the summit with only one round of games left to go this season.

One of the many modern perks of winning the Premier League is having the achievement commemorated on the following season’s kit.

That comes in the form of a gold Premier League badge that adorns the sleeves on each of the home, away and any third strips - and all goalkeeper kits - of the defending champions.

The gold badges were only introduced in their current form ahead of the 2015/16 season, when they were first worn by Chelsea following their title triumph under Jose Mourinho during the previous campaign.

Given that Arsenal have not won the Premier League since the famous ‘Invincibles’ season under Arsene Wenger in 2003/04, this will be the very first time they have worn them.

This season, Liverpool have been wearing the gold sleeve badges having been crowned champions during the 2024/25 season, their first under Arne Slot.

Arsenal have already started selling their ‘champions collection’ merchandise following confirmation of that title success, with fans able to buy the club’s new home shirts complete with a gold Premier League sleeve badge and ‘Champions 26’ printed in gold on the back.

The Gunners are also selling a range of champions t-shirts, plus hoodies, mugs, scarves, pint glasses, hats, flags, keyrings, badges and even a bottle of ‘Champions Premium Brut Champagne’, which costs £49.99.

Arsenal will yet hope to turn their Premier League title glory into a memorable major trophy double when they take on holders Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final in Budapest on May 30, where they will be wearing this season’s home kit.
