Arsenal, Liverpool & Newcastle in three-way battle for £73.5 million wonderkid | OneFootball

Liverpool are interested in signing the Porto attacker Victor Froholdt.

According to a report from BOLD, they will face competition from Arsenal and Newcastle United for the talented attacker. The 20-year-old Danish sensation has done quite well for the Portuguese outfit, and he could prove to be an excellent long-term investment for Liverpool.

They need more quality in the final third, especially after the departure of Mohamed Salah. Liverpool chiefs are thought to be impressed with the 20-year-old, and they have been keeping tabs on his fantastic performances for Porto and the Denmark national team.

He has a £73.5 million release clause in his contract, and it will be interesting to see if Liverpool is willing to break the bank for him. Porto will not want to lose the player easily. They paid £19 million for him, and they will look to make a substantial profit.

The asking price is quite high, and it is unlikely that any club would be willing to pay that kind of money for him. Froholdt is an exceptional talent with a bright future, and he has contributed to 14 goals this season. However, he is still largely unproven at the highest level. Liverpool will want to sign him for a reasonable fee.

On the other hand, Arsenal and Newcastle could use more creativity in the final third. Noni Madueke has been underwhelming since joining the club, and Newcastle have been overly dependent on Anthony Gordon.

The 20-year-old could prove to be a handy option for all three clubs. It remains to be seen where he ends up eventually. He should look to join a club where there is a defined role for him in the starting lineup.
