Outside of Dro Fernandez, it was a quiet January transfer window for PSG. Nonetheless, that doesn’t mean they aren’t keeping an eye on potential targets.
With plenty of resources at their disposal, the club could be planning for a bigger move in the summer rather than acting immediately. Since Luis Campos and Luis Enrique arrived, PSG have leaned heavily on young French talent in their transfer strategy.
One name reportedly catching their attention is LOSC Lille’s Ayyoub Bouaddi, though it appears unlikely the teenager will head to Paris during the winter window. On Jan. 30, Foot Mercato reported, citing sources, that the player sees a summer departure as likely to advance his young career.
Moreover, the French outlet reveals that PSG remains determined to sign him and plans to prioritize him this summer to strengthen Luis Enrique’s midfield. Arsenal is the main competition, while LOSC Lille will seek a substantial fee for a player under contract until June 2029. The player faces a major career decision.

Despite this report from Foot Mercato, one conflicting trend has recently emerged. According to Canal+ journalist Olivier Tallaron, PSG has given up on the deal.
Meanwhile, Sky Sports’ Lyall Thomas recently reported that Manchester United may target two centre-midfielders in 2026, given the current state of their squad. The club has reportedly added Bouaddi and Christos Mouzakitis from Olympiacos to their shortlist.
