Arsenal are said to be “monitoring developments closely” when it comes to Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers.
The Gunners would like to sign a winger this month, and the Daily Mail are reporting that Rogers is a possible target.
Aston Villa are in a precarious position when it comes to complying with the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules, but would obviously prefer to sell other players instead or Rogers.
Chelsea are also said to be keen admirers of the 22-year-old, with plenty of other clubs also bound to be “monitoring developments closely” given his impressive performances for Villa.
And the Athletic say Gunners youngster Myles Lewis-Skelly is close to signing a new contract with the club, which will make him among the best paid young players in the world.
Sky Germany are reporting that Arsenal do not want to pay the 80 million – 100 million euros fee RB Leipzig are demanding for striker Benjamin Sesko.
Arsenal are keen to sign the Slovenian striker but, understandably, want to reach a better deal for the 22-year-old, and still have time to do so with pre-season not set to start until July.
The Gunners have, however, missed out on goalkeeper Joan Garcia, whose move to Barcelona has now been confirmed.
Elsewhere, Gianluca di Marzio reports that Napoli are keen on signing Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho.
The Englishman spent last season on loan at Chelsea, who turned down the chance to sign him on a permanent basis.
Sky Sports News say Fer Lopez is undergoing a medical with Wolves ahead of a £21.3m move from Celta Vigo.
They also report that Jaka Bijol is set to undergo a medical with Leeds on Wednesday afternoon ahead of the defender’s move from Udinese.
The Sun, meanwhile, say Nottingham Forest have opened contract talks with Callum Hudson-Odoi in a bid to warn off interest from Manchester United.
They say United approach Forest over Hudson-Odoi in January, with Italian clubs Roma and Napoli also said to be keen.
Saudi Arabian clubs Al-Ahli, Al-Nassr and Al-Qadsiah have expressed interest in Tottenham Hotspur and South Korea forward Son Heung-min, 32, with the trio each prepared to pay £34m for him, according to Talksport.
It is very unlikely Spurs will want to sell Son, though, given his obvious importance both on the pitch and commercially to Tottenham, with the interest he attracts from South Korean supporters.
And Hayters TV understands a deal to take Chelsea youngster Zak Sturge to Millwall is progressing towards completion.
