Arsenal extended their lead at the top of the Premier League by beating Fulham 1-0 at Craven Cottage.

The Gunners had failed to win on their last two visits to Craven Cottage, but Leandro Trossard’s goal ended that run.

The Belgian scored the only goal of the game just before the hour mark after bundling the ball home from a corner.

The victory means Arsenal are now three points clear at the top of the Premier League, although Liverpool can close the gap to one on Sunday if they beat Manchester United.

Simon Collings was at Craven Cottage to see the Gunners in action...

David Raya 6

Had very little to do as Fulham failed to manage a single shot on target, despite being threatening at times.

Jurrien Timber 7

Yet another strong performance from the right-back, who has been one of Arsenal’s best players this season.

William Saliba 7

Dealt well with Raul Jimenez whenever the striker drifted onto him. His usual calm and composed self.

Gabriel 7

Loose on the ball in the opening stages, but got better as the came went on and made some big clearances. Assisted the goal with a deft flick.

Riccardo Calafiori 7

A lively performance. Smashed the ball into the top corner, only for the offside flag to deny him a great goal.

Eberechi Eze 6

Picked to play as a right No8 in the absence of the injured Martin Odegaard. Better in the second-half, like several players.

Martin Zubimendi 7

Restored to the team after being on the bench against West Ham last time out. Helped Arsenal dominate possession.

Declan Rice 6

Back in his preferred advanced role, although he had the freedom to drop deep a lot. Solid stuff.

Bukayo Saka 8 | Star player

Went on some magical runs and was Arsenal’s most dangerous attacker. Won a penalty with one of his dribbles, but VAR overturned it. Electric.

Worked tirelessly, again. Had two good efforts saved by Bernd Leno and ballooned another one over the bar. His wait for a goal goes on.

Leandro Trossard 7

Wasted a decent opening early in the second-half, but it was not long before he made amends with the all-important goal.

Substituions

Mikel Merino (Eze 62’) 6

Brought on after Trossard’s goal to lock the game down - and did exactly that.

Gabriel Martinelli (Martinelli 81’) N/A
