Arsenal are preparing a new transfer bid to sign Newcastle United star Bruno Guimaraes, per journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The Gunners have had two offers rejected by Newcastle, with the last one valued at £65 million.
They are preparing a new proposal to lure the midfielder away from St James’ Park.
Arsenal are looking to add a top central midfielder to the squad and have identified Guimaraes as an ideal option.
Newcastle have no interest in selling the Brazil international, who has two years left on his current contract.
Their position was weakened when the player informed them that he wants to join Arsenal this summer.
Guimaraes has been Newcastle’s most valuable player in recent years.
He has made 195 appearances across all competitions, bagging 31 goals and 32 assists.
The 28-year-old played a pivotal role in their League Cup triumph in 2024/25, which ended the club’s 70-year wait for a domestic trophy.
He was part of the Brazil squad at the World Cup 2026, starting every game before Norway eliminated them in the round of 16.
Newcastle have already lost Anthony Gordon and Sandro Tonali to Barcelona and Tottenham Hotspur respectively.
They are desperate to keep hold of Guimaraes, but he has his heart set on a move to Arsenal.
The Brazilian has reached the stage of his career where he should be competing for major trophies every year.
