Sporting Lisbon have set a £69 million price for Arsenal target Victor Gyokeres to leave the club.
The Portuguese side’s president Frederico Varandas comfirms that the Swede will face disciplinary action for failing to turn up to pre-season training.
“If they don’t want to pay Viktor’s fair market value, we’ll be very comfortable with that for the next three years.” he said
“If the geniuses who are devising this strategy think that this puts pressure on me to make it easier for him to leave, not only are they completely wrong, but they are also making it more complicated for the player to leave.
“No one is above the interests of the club. Whoever they are.”
Arsenal are looking to add the striker to their squad for next season but Sporting are holding firm on their asking price as per The Sun.
Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho has rejected the chance to play with his idol Cristiano Ronaldo at Al Nassr.
The Mirror say that the 21-year-old is reportedly still keen to make a move away from Manchester but he will not be playing for Al Nassr next season.
Prioritising a move to a club in Europe was the key factor in the forward rejecting the opportunity.
Chelsea are interested in Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma according to L’Equipe.
The Paris St. Germain keeper is fresh off five clean sheets so far in the Club World Cup as well as winning the Champions League earlier this year.
Despite interest from the London club, Donnarumma has publicly stated his desire to stay in the French capital on multiple occasions.
Manchester United and Aston Villa are both interested in bringing in Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson this summer.
As per Nabil Djellit both clubs have made inquiries for the Senegalese striker.
Chelsea have brought in Liam Delap and Joao Pedro this summer, both of whom prefer to play striker which could limit Jackson’s playing time.
Tottenham are still hopeful of sigining Morgan Gibbs-White despite Nottingham Forest threatening legal action over the deal.
The English midfielder was left out of the squad for Forest’s first pre-season match against Chesterfield and The Sun say it is unlikely that the Midlands club can block the move.
