Arsenal are assessing a move for Vinicius Junior as the 26-year-old Real Madrid winger enters the final year of his contract, with unanimous backing among the Gunners.
According to The Athletic, last season's Champions League finalists have begun to study a deal for the Brazil international, who has 54 caps and 13 goals. He has yet to extend his deal.
The Gunners have made him one of their priority targets to strengthen, after a strong World Cup in which he scored four goals. Despite the enthusiasm, the English champions have not opened talks with Madrid.
After an eighth season with the Merengues, negotiations over a renewal have not advanced. Real president Florentino Perez and the club do not want to risk losing the forward for nothing at the end of next season.
For Real Madrid, Vinicius has made 375 appearances, scoring 128 goals and supplying 84 assists.
