Mikel Arteta may look to rotate his squad and utilise the depth assembled in the summer. William Saliba and Declan Rice are likely to sit out after picking up knocks at the weekend, while Gabriel Martinelli and Riccardo Calafiori are also doubts.

Defensively, Arsenal have options to cover. Ben White could come in against his former team, while summer arrivals Cristhian Mosquera and Piero Hincapie may form a new-look centre-back pairing.

Further forward, Ethan Nwaneri is pushing for a start, as is 15-year-old sensation Max Dowman. The latter is an option to make his full debut.

Viktor Gyokeres, one of three former Brighton players in the Arsenal squad, may be rested. Mikel Merino and ex-Seagulls star Leandro Trossard are options to star as auxiliary centre-forwards.
