The Adobe Women's FA Cup quarter-finals take place this weekend and 14-time winners Arsenal are set to host Liverpool at Meadow Park.

Arsenal defeated Championship opposition Bristol City and London City Lionesses in the previous rounds to reach the last eight and they will be hoping to go all the way this season in order to win the trophy for the first time since 2016. Liverpool, on the other hand, knocked out West Ham and Rugby Borough in the fourth and fifth rounds.

Arsenal were significantly boosted by the return of Victoria Pelova to the matchday squad last weekend after the Dutch international suffered an ACL injury while representing her country back in July. The midfielder didn’t get any minutes against the Hammers, but her presence means she is closing in on a return to the pitch.

Defender Lotte Wubben-Moy is the notable absentee as she continues her recovery from the injury that forced her to withdraw from international duty last month, while Sweden international Rosa Kafaji missed the win over West Ham, but is expected to be available again. Lina Hurtig, on the other hand, has not featured in a matchday squad since December and Slegers confirmed in her pre-match press conference that she remains a doubt due to illness.

Chloe Kelly will not be available for Arsenal as she is cup-tied. Having moved on loan from Manchester City in January, Kelly had already featured in her former club's fourth round victory over Ipswich Town.

Liverpool's interim manager Amber Whiteley confirmed on Friday that she has a full squad available to choose from this weekend. The only absentees are defenders Niamh Fahey and Hannah Silcock, who are recovering from injury.

Fahey had participated in team training following the international break, but is not yet ready to return to the squad. Jas Matthews returned from injury for the win against Crystal Palace, and scored the winning goal. Leanne Kieran was absent for their last WSL fixture, but is expected to be available for selection again this weekend.

Arsenal vs Liverpool score prediction

Slegers' side only secured a narrow 1-0 win over Liverpool before Christmas, which indicates it could be another tight game. That being said, it is difficult to know exactly what to expect from the Merseyside outfit given this will be just their second game under interim boss Whiteley.

Arsenal have the home advantage and their strong form since Slegers took over in October very much points to a victory for the hosts. It would be quite the upset if Liverpool were to progress into the semi-finals.
