Arthur Cabral snatches late equaliser as Atlético Mineiro held | OneFootball

Atlético Mineiro drew 1-1 with Botafogo on Sunday in Belo Horizonte as Arthur Cabral's late leveller kept the visitors 11th and left the hosts 12th in the Brasileirão.

In the 23rd minute, Mateo Casierra swept Atlético-MG ahead from the centre of the box. Cabral then found the bottom corner to equalise (90.).

Neto produced a string of saves to keep Fogão in it, notably from Junior Alonso and Tomás Cuello either side of the break. At the other end, Everson parried efforts from Alexander Barboza and Danilo as the visitors pushed.

After the restart, Bernard went off injured, with Alexsander introduced (49.). Fogão struck the woodwork through Mateo Ponte soon after the hour as pressure built.

There were several stoppages for treatment in the first half, disrupting the early rhythm before the game opened up after the interval.
