AS Roma and Lecce meet in Serie A at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday, in a game that matters at both ends of the table.
Roma are pushing for a Champions League spot and need a result to stop their current slump, while Lecce are focused on picking up enough points to keep themselves away from the relegation zone.
Roma have hit a rough patch at a crucial moment in the campaign, going five games without a win in all competitions and letting in more than two goals on average during that spell.
They were also knocked out of the Europa League in midweek after a dramatic 4-3 extra-time loss to Bologna, having been level at 3-3 after 90 minutes.
Gian Piero Gasperini’s side remains badly hit in attack, with Paulo Dybala, Evan Ferguson, Artem Dovbyk and Matias Soule all still unavailable. All four forwards are sidelined, and both Dovbyk and Ferguson are expected to miss the rest of the season.
Midfielder Kouadia Kone is another concern and is rated doubtful, with the chances of him featuring in this fixture considered very low.
Wing-back Wesley is suspended following his red card against Como and will therefore be absent from the squad.
Despite the packed schedule, Donyell Malen has started every game since February and is in line to lead the attack once more for Gasperini’s team.
Possible AS Roma starting XI: Svilar; Mancini, Ndicka, Ghilardi; Celik, Cristante, El Aynaoui, Tsimikas; Pisilli, Pellegrini; Malen
The match will kick off at 5pm BST on Sunday, 22nd March.
