Brentford U21s forward Ashley Hay says that the Bees will go into Monday afternoon's Professional Development League home game against Millwall with confidence.

Tickets are available to purchase online for the 1pm kick-off as Neil McFarlane's side look to continue their recent form.

The young Bees, following a run of three straight victories in the PDL, sit in seventh place, seven points behind table-topping Charlton Athletic, having played three games less.

"The boys and I have been feeling confident," said Hay. "I think that has been the biggest reason for the wins that we have got.

"It has been refreshing to see the football that we have been playing, especially as the season started with our form being up and down.

"We did have a lot of injuries to begin the season, so getting the squad back together and each member knowing how important they are has been so good to see.

"We have a belief in the training methods and we believe in the advice we get before and during games. We are all improving as footballers and that is the most important thing for us."

Hay looking to continue fine form

Hay has scored seven league goals in eight games, netting hat-tricks against both Charlton and QPR.

"I am really happy about the fact that I am scoring a lot of goals," he continued. "One of the biggest things that I wanted to work on this season was my finishing and, so far, I have definitely seen some improvements.

"I put in a lot of work to get myself in this position and I believe that when you work hard, you will reap the benefits."

Last time out

Brentford romped to a 4-1 victory against London rivals QPR at Wheatsheaf Park in the Professional Development League.

The 300+ fans in attendance enjoyed a blistering start from the Bees, with Hay opening the scoring before, two minutes later, Iwan Morgan doubled the advantage with a sensational lob.

Hay bagged two more goals either side of what proved to be consolation effort from the visitors to secure a comfortable victory.
