Aston Villa sign Norwegian international midfielder Kielland | OneFootball

Aston Villa have completed the signing of Norwegian international midfielder Justine Kielland.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Villans this morning.

The 23-year-old midfielder joins Aston Villa off the back of a spell with German Google Pixel Frauen-Bundesliga club VfL Wolfsburg. Kielland spent two seasons with the She-Wolves in which she helped the club to compete strongly both domestically and in Europe. The player has also previously played in her homeland with Stabæk FK and SK Brann.

On the international stage, Kielland has been capped by Norway on 16 occasions. She is still awaiting her first goal for her country. The midfielder has been in and around the senior national team squad since October 2023 when she received her first call-up.

After joining Aston Villa, Kielland said “It’s an amazing feeling. I’m really excited now to finally be here. Putting on the jersey for the first time feels really good, I’m excited to get started.

“I had some really good talks with the people here. It feels like a really good place to be and, ultimately, I just had a really good feeling.”

Kielland is Aston Villa’s fourth signing of the summer transfer window.
