Atalanta ‘sound out’ Savona as Ederson set for Man United move | OneFootball

Atalanta have sounded out Nottingham Forest right-back Nicolò Savona as they brace for Ederson’s €45m switch to Manchester United, according to Football Italia.

The Serie A club are targeting midfield additions to cover the Brazilian’s departure, and have asked about the 23-year-old Italian’s availability.

Savona, formerly of Juventus, joined Forest on a permanent €13m deal last summer. He registered two goals and two assists in 20 appearances across all competitions in 2025-26.

Milan’s Ardon Jashari and Samuele Ricci are among the midfield options under consideration to replace Ederson. The report adds Milan must appoint a new sporting director before discussing signings or exits, so there have been no talks with the Rossoneri.

Como’s Lucas Da Cunha is also on La Dea’s radar.

Atalanta have recently hired Cristiano Giuntoli as sporting director and will reunite him with former Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri, who is set to be confirmed as head coach. With Sarri, La Dea are expected to adopt a 4-3-3 after years of using a three-man defence.
