Athletico Paranaense may be limited to women, children and older people in the home sections when they host Corinthians on 19 in a rescheduled Brasileirão match at Arena da Baixada, following an STJD sanction.
The restriction is expected to be applied to that fixture, although it could fall in a later round depending on CBF procedures. The club said in a statement it will confirm via its official channels once the game for serving the punishment is set.
The measure stems from a fight between the club’s own supporters during the derby against Coritiba at Couto Pereira, played in the 2025 Série B. The STJD also handed Athletico loss of home advantage and a R$ 15,000 fine. As it is an STJD ruling, the sanction must be served in competitions organised by the CBF.
Corinthians fans are unaffected and will have normal access to the away allocation.
Athletico faced a similar scenario in 2024, against Galo Maringá in the Campeonato Paranaense, when more than 33,000 attended, mostly women, children and older people, and the hosts won 2-1 at Arena da Baixada.
Before the rearranged meeting, both sides play on 12 in round three. Corinthians host Red Bull Bragantino at 20:00 at Neo Química Arena, while Athletico welcome Santos at 19:00 at Arena da Baixada.
