Atletico Madrid and Atalanta concluded more than a few pieces of business in recent years, and the next one could involve Ederson, although Juventus and other top sides are keen on him too.

The 26-year-old first landed in Italy at Salernitana. He has posted 14 goals and 5 assists in 167 matches with the Bergamaschi. Per Alfredo Pedullà, Los Colchoneros confirmed their interest in the Brazilian international during the recent negotiation. The two front offices have already laid the groundwork for a future transfer.

He’s arguably having a down year, but it’s tough to imagine a player who would fit Diego Simeone’s system and style better. The Bianconeri surely need at least one top-end midfielder, as they basically have just reliable ones, since Teun Koopmeiners continues to struggle there, and they aren’t great either. However, La Dea’s players have either become too expensive for other Italian clubs or their brass just prefers to send them abroad because of a very understandable strategy.
