Roma is looking for full-backs.
Angelino’s precarious condition and Tsimikas’ return to Liverpool have reduced the number of players available in a crucial area of the pitch for Gasperini’s team.
Besides Wesley, only Rensch and Celik remain, who is waiting to renew his contract, which expires on June 30th.
Among the wingers being monitored is Matteo Ruggeri.
The former Atalanta full-back could leave Atlético Madrid after a strong season in which he stood out and attracted interest from several clubs.
Matteo Ruggeri’s performances with Atletico Madrid have not gone unnoticed.
As Matteo Moretto reports, in Italy, Roma and Juventus have been in talks to assess the margins for a potential deal.
The Spanish club is asking €25 million for the 2002-born player, a valuation too high for the Bianconeri, who are stepping away from the race for the former Atalanta player, whom Gasperini knows well.
The Colchoneros wouldn’t want to let Ruggeri go without first finding a suitable replacement. Roma is considering how to initiate a deal at these prices.
