Celtic have had their appeal rejected following the red card shown to Auston Trusty during their 2–1 defeat to Hibernian last weekend.
Trusty was dismissed by referee Matthew McDiarmid for violent conduct following an incident in the penalty area.
Although no card was initially issued, the referee reviewed the incident on the VAR monitor after footage showed the American international striking Jamie McGrath.

As a result, Trusty will serve a three-match suspension and will be unavailable for this weekend’s crunch derby against Rangers at Ibrox.
Brentford loanee Benjamin Arthur stepped in for the conclusion of the clash against Hibs and could be in line for a full debut on Sunday.
