Auston Trusty: It's really good to be back at Lennoxtown | OneFootball

Auston Trusty says it’s really good to be back with his Celtic team-mates as the Hoops returned to Lennoxtown to kick off preparations for the 2025/26 campaign.

Speaking pitchside with Daylin Docherty for Celtic TV following another intense day of training, the American defender reflected on reuniting with the squad after a short summer break.

“It feels good," he said. "It was a short month off and I feel like it never happened really. We're still kind of in the groove and to come back, see all the guys, you miss them. So it’s really good to be back.”

Having arrived after pre-season last year, Trusty is relishing the opportunity to be part of the group from the very beginning this time around.

“I think this team is really good," he said, "so when I came here last year I was just into the team right away, the guys took me in and we all became friends right away. It’s a really good locker room.

“Luckily, I didn’t need a pre-season to get in with the boys. I’m really looking forward to this and spending a lot of time with the guys.”

Trusty also spoke about the whirlwind nature of the past year – both professionally and personally – and hopes to carry the momentum into the season ahead.

“Towards the end of the season I think I had all life events," he explained. "I got married and had a baby. So last year was full of many, many highs andhopefully we can continue with this year.”
