Day four of the 2026 World Cup saw Sweden beat Tunisia 5-1, Germany thrash Curaçao 7-1, the Netherlands draw 2-2 with Japan, and Côte d’Ivoire defeat Ecuador 1-0.
As reported by Le Progres, action continued across groups E and F. Sweden met Tunisia in Monterrey, with kick-off at four o'clock in France.
In Monterrey, Sweden struck early, then Alexander Isak doubled the lead. Tunisia reduced the deficit before Viktor Gyokeres added again, a disputed goal was eventually awarded, and Ayari completed his brace.
The Netherlands and Japan played out a thrilling draw, with Crysencio Summerville briefly restoring the Dutch lead during a frantic spell, before the game finished all square.
Germany took the lead, were pegged back, then reclaimed control, won a penalty and accelerated clear either side of half-time for a commanding win over Curaçao.
Côte d’Ivoire edged Ecuador, Amad Diallo scoring late to secure the points.
