Denzel Dumfries is aiming to return to fitness for Inter Milan in next weekend’s Serie A match against Roma.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
Inter Milan wingback Denzel Dumfries has been absent since the international break.
The Dutchman is currently recovering from a thigh problem that he picked up during a Serie A clash with Atalanta just before the break.
Dumfries has missed matches against Udinese, Parma, and Cagliari in Serie A. He has also missed the Coppa Italia semifinal first leg against AC Milan, and both legs against Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

However, a return for Denzel Dumfries is now just around the corner, reports the Gazzetta.
The Dutchman will not be available against Bologna this evening. Nor will he be able to play in the second leg against AC Milan in midweek.
However, the Gazzetta reports, that Dumfries is aiming to be back for next weekend.
Inter host Roma in Serie A on Saturday.
And that is the match where Dumfries is likely to be back in the squad.
That does not mean that the 29-year-old will necessarily be able to start against the Giallorossi. However, he should at least be able to come off the bench.
Then, the aim could be for Dumfries to get some vital minutes in his legs ahead of Inter’s Champions League semifinal tie against Barcelona.
