Barcelona add Newcastle star to transfer watchlist | OneFootball

The board at La Liga champions Barcelona are keen admirers of the talents of a member of the defensive ranks at Premier League outfit Newcastle United.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who highlight Lewis Hall as the player in question.

Barcelona of course recently locked horns with Newcastle, in a two-legged affair in the Last-16 of the Champions League.

And though he and his teammates were ultimately put to the sword in comprehensive fashion, Hall stood tall in his battle against Lamine Yamal.

The England international did about as good a job as an opposing full-back could hope for in keeping tabs on the explosive Lamine, and proved himself a constant threat going forward, too.

And as alluded to above, along the way, Hall is understood to have turned the heads of those behind the scenes at the Spotify Camp Nou.

As per a report from Sport, amid an ongoing search for potential left-back reinforcements, the former Chelsea talent has been added to a shortlist also featuring the names of Alejandro Grimaldo, and Andrea Cambiaso.

It is also noted, though, that any move for Hall is considered an ambitious one, owing to the likely costs involved.
