The Scotland international was a target for Spurs in the January transfer window, but a move fell through after Liverpool were unable to find a replacement.

Elsewhere, Manchester United are close to agreeing a deal with Italian side Atalanta for the signing of Ederson. Sky Sports report that a deal for the Brazilian could be worth up to £38m, and he would become Michael Carrick’s first signing since becoming permanent United head coach. A full agreement for the midfielder could be reached by the end of the week.

Gabriel Jesus looks set to depart Arsenal this summer, with the Gunners demanding at least £20m for the Brazilian despite the 29-year-old entering the last year of his contract, according to the Athletic.

The forward scored six times in 27 appearances as he helped Mikel Arteta’s men win their first Premier League title in 22-years. Jesus has recently stated how he wants to make “history” at Arsenal.

Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Liverpool want to keep goalkeeper Alisson for another season, putting any potential summer deal to Juventus on hold for the 33-year-old. Di Marzio also says that officials from the Reds have met with colleagues from Inter Milan over a move for Curtis Jones.
