The brass at La Liga champions Barcelona have already kicked into gear efforts to put the necessary conditions in place to make Marcus Rashford’s signing a permanent one.

This of course comes amid what has been an impressive start to life in Spain for the 28-year-old.

Taking full advantage of an early-season injury crisis in Hansi Flick’s squad, Rashford has established himself as one of the first names on the Barcelona team sheet.

All told, the Englishman has racked up 10 direct goal contributions, more than any other Blaugrana player.

And the significance of such exploits has evidently not gone overlooked on the part of Deco and co.

As per a report from Diario Sport, Barcelona have already kickstarted negotiations with both Rashford and his entourage, over the possibility of extending their partnership beyond the close of the campaign.

A whole host of details remain to be sorted, but as things stand, both club and player appear keen to make the latter’s loan terms permanent.

Barca boast an option to buy Rashford from Manchester United worth a sum in the region of €35 million.
