Barcelona boss Flick makes direct contact with Atlético Madrid star | OneFootball

Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has made contact with Atlético Madrid star Julián Alvarez, to gauge the Argentine’s interest in a potential move to Catalunya’s capital.

This of course comes amid mounting speculation surrounding a potential joining of forces between the parties this summer.

Barcelona are widely expected to add to their options at centre-forward with a view to next season, amid uncertainty surrounding the futures of both Robert Lewandowski and Ferran Torres.

And Alvarez is viewed as option no.1, a perfect fit in the all-action setup of Hansi Flick.

In turn, it should come as little surprise to hear of the Blaugrana’s headmaster actively pushing for the World Cup winner’s signature.

As per a report from El Chiringuito TV:

“Hansi Flick has called Julián Alvarez,” in an effort to entice the former Manchester City man into a Camp Nou switch.

It is also noted, though, that:

“It’s not the only call the Argentine has received from a coach…”
