Barcelona are actively looking for ways to strengthen their defence ahead of the new season, and Pedro Porro has caught their eye.
According to reports from Fichajes, it has been learned that the Catalan giants are monitoring the Tottenham Hotspur full-back, who has been in top form this year.
Porro, 25, has proven his quality with four goals and nine assists from the right side of the defence, showing that he can both defend and support the attack.
As such, Barcelona manager Hansi Flick wants more depth at full-back and Porro could be used on the right as a rotation option for Jules Kounde or even fill in on the left if needed.
His flexibility is a key reason why Barça are interested in bringing him. Porro has shown great development since leaving Sporting Lisbon, and his strong performances in the Premier League have certainly not gone unnoticed.

For what it is worth, Tottenham are not looking to let Porro go easily. The English club have made it clear that they will only consider offers of at least €60 million.
For a club like Barcelona, still dealing with financial issues, that price could be tough to meet. If Barça are serious about signing the Spanish defender, they might need to sell players or reduce wages in other areas.
Interestingly, Barcelona are not the only club interested. Manchester City are reportedly open to bringing Porro back, while Bayern Munich have the funds to make a strong offer.
This means time is ticking for Barça, who will need to act fast and smart if they want to win the race. Porro would be a quality addition to Flick’s plans, offering both experience and energy.
But the road to signing him is far from easy, and Barcelona must be clever in how they approach the situation.
