Frenkie de Jong’s future at Barcelona is up in the air as he enters the final year of his contract after this season. Without an extension this summer, the 26-year-old could be on the move.
A report from SPORT in October revealed that top clubs like Manchester United, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, and Paris Saint-Germain are closely watching De Jong’s situation.
Although De Jong has expressed a desire to stay at Barcelona, PSG’s track record of signing players from the Catalan club makes them a strong contender.
TEAMtalk recently reported that Barcelona is willing to entertain offers of around €35 million (£29 million) for De Jong, a price that Liverpool, along with other interested clubs, considers reasonable.
However, a significant hurdle comes from De Jong’s agents. Any potential move would require him to take a considerable pay cut, something he’s been reluctant to do in the past.

TBR Football’s Graeme Bailey reported on Friday, citing sources, that De Jong’s long-term future at Barcelona is uncertain, with intermediaries reaching out to potential suitors to gauge interest.
Moreover, the report claims that Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester City, and Manchester United are among the clubs contacted about the situation, with a potential move this summer in mind.
While Barcelona maintains that De Jong remains an integral part of their squad, he is no longer a first-choice midfielder, with homegrown talents Pedri, Gavi, and Marc Casado starting ahead of him.
