The brass at La Liga giants Barcelona have identified Bologna star Jhon Lucumí as a potential summer transfer target.

This comes amid the Blaugrana’s ongoing search for reinforcements at the heart of defence.

Deco and co. are of course widely expected to add to Hansi Flick’s options at the back with a view to next season over the months ahead.

To date, Inter Milan standout Alessandro Bastoni has been the central defender most persistently linked with the reigning Spanish champions.

The Italian international, though, is far from the only name on Barcelona’s shortlist…

As per a report from Diario Sport, citing sources in Italy, Bologna stalwart Jhon Lucumí has also made his way firmly onto the radar of the transfer team in Catalunya’s capital.

Lucumí is labelled as ‘a solid option, which fits with what Barça are looking for’.

The Colombian is also likely to be considerably cheaper than Bastoni, with a price-tag in the region of €25 million.
