La Liga giants Barcelona have fallen off the pace in the race for RB Leipzig star Yan Diomande.
This comes as the Ivorian looks increasingly likely to take his talents to the Premier League in the near future.
The name of youngster Diomande had emerged as a prominent one in the media chatter surrounding Barcelona with a view to next season.
As much came after it was suggested that, amid an ongoing search for reinforcements out wide, Deco and co. had set their sights on the 19-year-old.
Diomande already has experience of Spanish football, having spent last season on the books of the ultimately-relegated Leganés.
It is his time in Germany with the aforementioned RB Leipzig, though, which has seen the African truly begin to turn heads.
Across the season to date, Diomande has directly contributed to eight goals in 14 appearances.
Such exploits had turned the heads of the board at Barcelona, but a deal coming to fruition for the electric attacker is beginning to look altogether unlikely.
As per a report from Diario Sport, citing transfer insider Sacha Tavolieri, it is Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur who have positioned themselves at the front of the queue to land Diomande.
Not only that, but Leipzig are ready to demand a sum of close to €90 million to sanction a sale, a figure which cash-strapped Barca would not even consider offering.
