Supporters of La Liga champions Barcelona have come together on Sunday, to collectively call for the introduction of one player during their side’s showdown with Real Madrid.
The player in question? Ronald Araújo.
This comes amid the ongoing struggles of the Blaugrana’s backline…
Hansi Flick’s troops are of course currently locked in action, in the season’s first edition of El Clásico.
After dominating their arch rivals consistently last season, however, Barca have found themselves altogether less in control this time round.
It is Real Madrid who currently boast the advantage on the scoreline in Spain’s capital, leading by two goals to one.
Not only that, but Los Blancos have seen a further pair of goals disallowed for offside.
Barcelona have consistently struggled to keep tabs with their hosts from a defensive standpoint, as the likes of Vinícius Jr, Kylian Mbappé and Jude Bellingham continue to run rampant.
And as alluded to above, the Blaugrana faithful appear adamant that the introduction of Ronald Araújo could prove crucial to putting an end to as much.
Of the opinion that the athleticism and leadership boasted by the oft-criticised Uruguayan is being sorely missed on Sundy, such supporters have widely called for Araújo to be introduced for one of Eric García, or Pau Cubarsí.
